Dear Parents,
Welcome to First Parish Preschool. We are looking forward to the opportunity
to work with you and your children.
Many children will be beginning their first preschool experience. Some children will
adjust quickly, and for others the first few days are a bit scary. We hope our
visiting days in September will help ease your child's adjustment to school.
If you should have any concerns about your child or First Parish Preschool, please feel
free to stop by the school office or call me at any time. First Parish has an open door
policy for all parents of children in our school. Please note that all our classrooms have
two-way mirrors so you can observe your child at play and interacting with other
children. Study after study has confirmed that there is a direct correlation between
parental involvement and the initial success of the child. As a result, we encourage
parental involvement in our programs. Our Pre-Kindergarten Program has a cooperative parent
helper program for which we ask family members to help in the classroom at least four times
during the school year. Our children love to see you involved in their lives and you are
always welcome at First Parish Preschool.
